Overview – TRL-L3 Pipeline High-Shear Dispersing Emulsifier Pump
The TRL-L Series Three-Stage Inline High Shear Homogenizer Emulsifying Pump is a premium continuous in-line processing unit designed for ultra-high precision, fine dispersion, and stable emulsification. Unlike single-stage models, the TRL-L incorporates three consecutive rotor-stator assemblies (Coarse, Medium, Fine) arranged in series within the pump chamber. Materials undergo three progressive stages of intense shearing in a single pass, delivering an extremely narrow particle size distribution, unparalleled smoothness, and significantly higher production efficiency.
Key Features & Technical Advantages
-
Three-Stage Progressive High Shear (Coarse, Medium, Fine Assemblies): Equipped with three sets of precision-engineered rotor-stators in series. Materials pass successively through coarse, medium, and ultra-fine shear zones, increasing shear frequency exponentially for exceptional particle uniformity.
-
Single-Pass Perfection (Up to 50% Energy Savings): Thanks to the triple-action processing zone, most formulations achieve optimal homogenization in a single pass without needing multiple recirculation cycles, cutting processing time and energy consumption by 30%–50%.
-
Continuous In-Line Production: Seamlessly integrates into automated continuous production pipelines, eliminating batch-to-batch quality fluctuations and ensuring zero dead zones inside the chamber.
-
Sanitary & Safe Construction: All wetted components are made of premium 304 or 316L Stainless Steel with mirror-polished surfaces ($\text{Ra} \le 0.4\ \mu\text{m}$). Fully compliant with GMP and FDA standards, supporting CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-in-Place) operations.
-
Versatile Mechanical Sealing: Configurable with double-end water-cooled mechanical seals or dry-running high-pressure seals, making it suitable for hazardous, high-viscosity, corrosive, or abrasive materials
TRL-I VS. TRL-L3
- TRL-I (Single-stage): Suitable for routine mixing, dispersion, and preliminary emulsification. Often used in recycling processes or for materials with moderate particle size requirements; offers high cost-effectiveness.
- TRL-L3 (Three-stage): Suitable for complex and high-precision emulsification and dispersion. Achieves extremely fine particle sizes (down to submicron level) in a single pass. Ideal for industries with extremely high quality requirements, such as pharmaceuticals, nanomaterials, and high-end cosmetics.
Applications
- Food & Beverage: Fruit juices, mayonnaise, sauces, dairy products, ice cream mixes, edible gums, flavorings, condiments, Plant-protein beverages, emulsified flavors, collagen drinks, mayonnaise, micro-emulsified oils
- Cosmetics & Personal Care: Shampoos, body washes, skin creams, lotions, liquid detergents, toothpaste, facial emulsions
- Pharmaceuticals & Biotech: Ointments, vaccines, fat emulsions, syrups, active suspensions, biomedical dispersions
- Fine Chemicals & Coatings: Paints, inks, pesticide SC, asphalt emulsification, polymer emulsions, nano-materials
- High-End Cosmetics: Serums, anti-aging creams, sunscreens, nano-foundations, premium lotions
-
New Energy & Fine Chemicals: Graphene/CNT dispersion, battery slurries, high-grade coatings/inks, pesticide micro-emulsions, polymer suspensions
Operating Principles
Three sets of stators and rotors are equipped in the working cavity. The driving shaft in the working cavity is an arm, an electrical motor, and the shaft in the bearing cabinet can be connected by spring coupling to improve the operation
quality of the driving shaft. Seal form can be selected in different conditions. It is fit for middle-large scale on-line continuous production or circulated
treatment production process.
Technical Parameters

Notes:
- The flow listed on the table refers to the data measured when the medium is water, and the exit pressure of 0.2MPa of the model listed in the table.
- In conditions of high temperature, high pressure, flammability, explosion, and erosion, relevant parameters must be provided clearly for selecting customization precisely.
- For a poor liquid medium, a pump that has a matching flow is suggested to feed at the inlet, input pressure <0.2Mpa.
- If the data in the table is modified, no further notification will be given, and the right parameters as per the provided sample.
