Design and Features
- The self-priming pump casing is manufactured with a cold-formed plate.
- The inlet body and impeller are made of stainless steel investment casting.
- Mechanical seal prevents contact between the springs and the pumped fluid
- Stainless steel support
Key Advantages & Highlights
- The unique side-channel / liquid ring hydraulic structure provides powerful negative pressure self-priming performance, allowing fast air evacuation without manual priming. It efficiently handles liquids containing entrained air, foaming fluids, or volatile media.
- In CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, it rapidly clears residual fluids and foam from cleaning tanks and pipelines. This prevents overpressure or liquid accumulation, significantly enhancing CIP cycle efficiency while saving wash solutions.
- Wetted components are manufactured from premium AISI 316L stainless steel with precision-polished internal surfaces (Ra ≤ 0.8μm / 0.4μm). Designed with zero dead-legs, it fully complies with 3-A, FDA, and EHEDG sanitary standards.
- Features a modular quick-disassembly structure for effortless seal replacement and routine maintenance. High-precision mechanical seals ensure zero leakage during frequent, long-term self-priming cycles.
Applications
- The pump is a sanitary side channel self-priming pump; it’s suitable for food processing, pharmacy, and the chemical industry.
- It is specially designed for pumping materials containing air or gas, and it can also be used for negative suction with prior priming, as well as with filtration equipment.
- The sanitary self-priming pump is suitable for use with alcohol, oils, syrups, volatiles (such as alcohol, acetone), and other solvents, or other materials whose temperature is near their boiling point. However, the main use of this pump is for CIP return.
- CIP Systems: CIP return pumping, wash solution recovery.
- Food & Dairy: Air-entrained milk transfer, whey pumping, tank bottom evacuation, and handling foaming liquids.
- Brewing & Beverages: Yeast recovery, wine/beer tank bottom residual suction, and carbonated beverage handling.
- Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemicals: Solvent suction, tank bottom stripping, and multiphase liquid-gas transfer.
Operating Principles
-
The impeller is positioned between the inlet pump body and the venturi sleeve, and it rotates in conjunction with the pump shaft.
-
The rotation of the impeller and arrangement of the side channel create a negative pressure within the inlet body, which generates the suction force of the pump. Simultaneously, the fluid receives energy in the form of kinetic energy and pressure energy, which impels it through the impeller casing.
